NTN supports communities involved in hazardous waste management, alternatives to pesticides and environmental health issues.  Our committee members are involved in a range of national advisory bodies including the Hazardous Waste Reference Group, the Stockholm Stakeholders Reference Group, the National Industrial Chemicals Notification Assessment Scheme (NICNAS) Community Engagement Forum and Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority committees. We also participate in related technical advisory panels.

Food Connect Foundation at the March Against Monsanto

Saturday, 25 May 2012, people came together around the world to join in a global event called March Against Monsanto – the Brisbane crowd gathered in a collective of around 300 (for those not in the know, Monsanto is a global corporation whose business is genetic modification of seed, with a heavy focus in constraining farmers to laborious and often economically fatal contracts). Food Connect Foundation’s Robert Pekin shared passionate and insightful perspectives from the podium inspiring those who wish for food the way nature intends.
